We've been busy adding new content to our mobile site every day. To recap, we have added the following awards for dens and packs:

The new Journey to Excellence (JTE) is the BSA's new council performance recognition program. It is replacing the Quality Centennial Awards Program you may have been familiar with.
This new program is pretty cool. Packs for example get scored on how well they are doing in 13 objectives such as Advancement, Retention, Trained Leadership and Service . The goal is to make progress from the year prior. So even the best unit can improve.
Each of the 13 requirements has levels of achievement. For example Requirement 1: Advancement gives packs 100 points if they can get 40% of their Scouts to advance one rank or just improve by 2% from last year. They define this level as Bronze.

To do even better units can go a step further by getting 55% of their Scouts to advance AND improve by 2% from last year. This level is defined as Silver and earns 200 points.
If the unit got 75% of their Scouts to advance with a 2% improvement from last year they can earn Gold and get 400 points!
After the unit calculates their points for all 13 requirements they arrive at a final number of points which determines which patch they have earned. There are 3 patches given to units. Gold, Silver and Bronze patches:

Stay tuned as we publish the troop, team, crew and ship requirements. We hope each unit will check out the Journey to Excellence program this year. Please let us know what you think. We enjoy hearing from you!
