A Secure, Private Forum Just For Your Unit

Now, Scouts, parents and leaders have their very own place to communicate Scouting in their unit.

It's 100% secure and encrypted and can only be accessed by approved Scouts, parents and leaders in the unit.

Every Scoutbook den, patrol, pack and troop subscription now has access to this new feature at no additional cost.

Messaging and Calendaring features coming soon

Scoutbook believes communication is key for a successful unit.  The more everyone participates, the more united and organized the unit becomes.

In addition to the Forum board, Scoutbook is also working on some exciting messaging features. Soon you will be able to send messages to your den, patrol, committee or your very own custom mailing lists.

Our calendar features will support Google Calendar API's so you can quickly integrate your existing Google calendars right into Scoutbook seamlessly.

Thank You For Your Support and Feedback!

We want to thank all those who help support Scoutbook.  Your suggestions and feedback are helping to make Scoutbook awesome!

Is there a rough timeline when you think the calendar and messaging will be available?

Hi Dana. We are hoping at or around the end of the year. Calendaring will be the most involved out of all the features so messaging will most definately come first. Thanks!

This is a great feature! Could it be associated under the My Dashboard screen? It can associate with all of the other Pack activities (tracking, events, messaging) in a single section for users to look.

Hi Matthew. Good suggestion. We may place a link going to the forum on the unit pages to start out with.

    Hello Scout Book crew,

The updates the last few months have been great. I (and the Pack) really appreciate all the work you are putting into the application.

A suggested enhancement to the Pack Forum

    1. The ability to add images and file attachments
    2. Be able to insert html cose

The first suggestion offers the ability to provide supporting information that be of importance or use to the Pack. The second suggestion may be a lot of work, but my reason is to give the option to add forms/video/etc.

Thanks again for all the hard work!

This is my first look through, was wondering does this comment connect to the tiger cub parents as a general access area that all parents will be able to see such as communication regarding events and so forth as I was getting ready to send out email to our Tiger Cub parents @ their respective listed emails.

Hi John. This blog page and these comments are all public as well as our public forums. The parents are able to see the private unit forum as long as they have a Scout in the unit.

@Stephen. If you are part of a troop you just go into your account and select My Positions. Add your troop position then go back to your Dashboard. You may need to hit the refresh button in the top right corner of the web app for the unit to appear. Just click on the troop and then go to the roster to see all the people.

@Stephi. Leaders will need to add their own profile pic. As an admin you are not able to add leader photos.

The forums are great, but I'd love the functionality for the troop admins to pin certain forum topics to the top so they don't sort their way to the bottom when new content is submitted. That way we can keep key information such as g-drive, facebook, district sites, other hyperlinks, and key information right at the top where they can be quickly without having to sort through pages of submissions in the troop forum.

Hello! Thank you for posting these Q and A topics. They are helpful!
My question: I seem to have lost the ability to send messages to people in my pack. (I still have that ability in my son's Troop, however.) As a Scoutbook Admin, how do I go in and fix this?
