You asked for it.  You got it!

This has been one of the hottest new feature requests we have received by far.

If you have used our web app you probably have felt the pain of entering in all the requirements one by one. Now that we have released our Pack and Troop plans it quickly became a necessity to have a tool like this in place.

Check off everything on one page

Just select one or more Scouts, enter one date, then check off all the achievements they have earned.

This is perfect for marking off a bunch of achievements earned during a den meeting for example. Just mark the boys who were at the meeting and submit!

Leader approved status and Notepad entries

Not only can parents and leaders mark off achievements but leaders can also approve them all in one step.

At the bottom of all our quick pages you will see the option to to leave a note or comment which will create a Notepad entry on each requirement you mark off.

Supports multiple dens and packs

Not only can you mark off boys in one den but lets say you have boys from another pack meeting with you.  Scoutbook will let you select both packs of boys and update all their records in one step.

You choose the Scouts and requirements and we take care of the rest.

Where is it?

If you have a Scout in Tiger Cubs, Wolves or Bears just go into his Achievement page and you will see a new button at the top for Quick Entry.

More to come...

This is our first quick entry page.  Coming soon is our elective, activity badge, academics and sports quick entry pages and more.

Post below and let us know how you like it.  Thanks!

Hi Deborah. Thanks for supporting Scoutbook! Just go into a Scout's advancement page and go into his electives or achievements and look toward the top for a button for multiple Scout entry. Let us know if you need any help. Thanks!

Is there any chance this feature will also show up in the awards section as well? Gets to be a pain without it when 8-10 boys earn belt loops and pins at the same event and you have to start a new belt loop for each boy.

Can't wait to see this for merit badges for Boy Scouts! We just went to a merit badge Pow Wow and we were only able to partially complete the merit badges we attended (lots of pre-requisite requirements, like "Hide a geocache"). This would have been awesome to have when marking all those requirements. At least the Quick Toolbar helped out and then used the Leader report to approve them all.

So, is there any way to do multiple BS badge requirements as quick entries? Doing them individually is very time consuming.

We did stations at a recent camp where the cubs were able to earn several belt loops. They were entered via Quick Entry after the event (better than doing it individually!). Some cubs had already earned some of the belt loops prior to the event so "Quick Entry" replaced the original entries with new new ones just as if they were earning them for the first time. Is there an easy way to tell who has already earned the award so we don't have items added to the "Needs Purchasing" report and buying items the scouts have already been awarded?

    I've just started using Scoutbook.

I found that if you're not careful, you can add the same electives multiple times in quick entry and they are all applied towards arrow points. I had to go back and delete the electives that were double counted.

I also noticed that there aren't additional spots available for entering electives where a subsection allows you to earn multiple arrow points (for example Bear Elective 20f where you can repeat it up to 3 times to earn 3 arrow points).

Also, I am not able to view all the electives with all the boys in my den to save as a report.

Please consider modifying data entry and report generation for achievements, electives, other badges, belts loops and pins, etc. for the dens similar to ScoutTrack. There is no way to enter the same item twice in ScoutTrack and the data quick entry in ScoutTrack is convenient. Items entered previously will show up filled in so you know which items have been previously entered for each scout in the den.

As a den leader, I would like to have a feature to allow reports of the items (such as Achievements, Electives, Belt loops and pins, other badges, etc.) of all the boys in my den to facilitate tracking during the scout year. Examples may be seen in ScoutTrack.com.

    http://www.scouttrack.com/

Also, please add awards such as Scout Sunday, Scouting for Food, Service Pins, etc. that are currently not in Scoutbook.

I noticed that Scoutbook also does not allow for multiple entries for awards such as Leave No Trace if the boys earned it multiple years (for example as Wolf, then as Bear and then as Webelos).

It would also be nice to have Scoutbook automatically insert completed items for awards. For example, when Bear Achievement 5 is complete, have Scoutbook also update World Conservation Award requirement of Achievement 5. Currently, you have to manually go in and update World Conservation Award Achievement 5 requirement even though Bear Achievement 5 was previously updated and marked complete. I've noticed that Scoutbook seems to be updating the information for the Achievements, etc. for some awards but not others.

Have Paul's and Chie's issues been addressed? They seem critical to avoid double counting and ordering.

Belt loops and electives can be earned as many times as the Scout wants to earn them. There is no limit.

With the double counting and ordering, I'm hoping you can address it with a warning instead of blocking it from happening. Since scouts can earn them as many times as they wish, as a leader, we purchase the awards for them the first time, but not a second or third, etc. Plus, it would help us to prevent accidentally entering a belt loop twice by mistake. (Parent signs off on it, not realizing it has already been entered by leader, and vice versa).

Works pretty good, could use some tweaking, I don't see service stars in the awards. Is this an over sight? and where are the Medals, religious and honor, and even leader cords. if they are there how would I access them?

I don't know if this is the correct thread but I am fairly new to Scoutbook and I am the Advancement Chair of 70+ Boy Scouts. Tonight, I am entering at least 40 merit badges they earned at an event and I must admit that entering ranks and merit badges seems to be very time consuming even while using the Quick Entry Screen. There seems to be a lot of extra clicks just to enter a completion. I am hoping I am doing something wrong and here for any assistance. On another note, I have emailed Scoutbook several weeks ago about removing adults from scouts (they turned 18) and haven't heard back. I am scared to think about summer camp when they usually earn over 150. Please provide any guidance, I have tried youtube with no success.

I like it for boy scouts but I would recommend the addition of quick entry of add a merit badge. It's summer camp season now and I have 5 scouts doing all one MB. They have 0% started today but to get them tracked, I have to go in each scout and manually add the same 5 button clicks over and over. That'd be me one suggestion.
