You asked for it. You got it!
This has been one of the hottest new feature requests we have received by far.
If you have used our web app you probably have felt the pain of entering in all the requirements one by one. Now that we have released our Pack and Troop plans it quickly became a necessity to have a tool like this in place.
Check off everything on one page
Just select one or more Scouts, enter one date, then check off all the achievements they have earned.
This is perfect for marking off a bunch of achievements earned during a den meeting for example. Just mark the boys who were at the meeting and submit!
Leader approved status and Notepad entries
Not only can parents and leaders mark off achievements but leaders can also approve them all in one step.
At the bottom of all our quick pages you will see the option to to leave a note or comment which will create a Notepad entry on each requirement you mark off.
Supports multiple dens and packs
Not only can you mark off boys in one den but lets say you have boys from another pack meeting with you. Scoutbook will let you select both packs of boys and update all their records in one step.
You choose the Scouts and requirements and we take care of the rest.
Where is it?
If you have a Scout in Tiger Cubs, Wolves or Bears just go into his Achievement page and you will see a new button at the top for Quick Entry.
More to come...
This is our first quick entry page. Coming soon is our elective, activity badge, academics and sports quick entry pages and more.
Post below and let us know how you like it. Thanks!
I found that if you're not careful, you can add the same electives multiple times in quick entry and they are all applied towards arrow points. I had to go back and delete the electives that were double counted.
I also noticed that there aren't additional spots available for entering electives where a subsection allows you to earn multiple arrow points (for example Bear Elective 20f where you can repeat it up to 3 times to earn 3 arrow points).
Also, I am not able to view all the electives with all the boys in my den to save as a report.
Please consider modifying data entry and report generation for achievements, electives, other badges, belts loops and pins, etc. for the dens similar to ScoutTrack. There is no way to enter the same item twice in ScoutTrack and the data quick entry in ScoutTrack is convenient. Items entered previously will show up filled in so you know which items have been previously entered for each scout in the den.
As a den leader, I would like to have a feature to allow reports of the items (such as Achievements, Electives, Belt loops and pins, other badges, etc.) of all the boys in my den to facilitate tracking during the scout year. Examples may be seen in ScoutTrack.com.

Also, please add awards such as Scout Sunday, Scouting for Food, Service Pins, etc. that are currently not in Scoutbook.
I noticed that Scoutbook also does not allow for multiple entries for awards such as Leave No Trace if the boys earned it multiple years (for example as Wolf, then as Bear and then as Webelos).
It would also be nice to have Scoutbook automatically insert completed items for awards. For example, when Bear Achievement 5 is complete, have Scoutbook also update World Conservation Award requirement of Achievement 5. Currently, you have to manually go in and update World Conservation Award Achievement 5 requirement even though Bear Achievement 5 was previously updated and marked complete. I've noticed that Scoutbook seems to be updating the information for the Achievements, etc. for some awards but not others.
