iOS Wireless Blue Card Printing Beta Announced

Grab your iPhone, iPod, iPad or the cute iPad Mini and start printing your official merit badge records.

Scoutbook prints directly on official blue cards so there is no need to go out and buy card stock or expensive pre-cut cards. Pick up a pack of 100 cards at any Scout Shop for a few dollars. We support the older cards as well as the newer 2012-2013 edition.

official blue cards

Did you know the Application For Merit Badge "blue card" #34124 is the only nationally recognized merit badge record? There are other advancement tracking applications out there that print their own version of the blue card however Scoutbook recognizes that these other formats may not be accepted at the council and national levels.

Now Scoutmasters and Scout committees can have peace of mind knowing all their merit badge records in Scoutbook prints on official blue cards.

See Partials, Counselor Contact Info and More

When your Scouts connect with a unit leader and are assigned a merit badge counselor to each merit badge you will see signatures, counselor contact info, partial requirement initials and more right on the card. We auto-fill everything so you don't have to.

The more your unit uses Scoutbook the more complete your cards will be.

Scan To Go Directly to the Scout's Merit Badge Record

All 3 parts of the blue card contains a special QR code.  Just scan with a mobile device to go directly to the Scout's merit badge page to quickly see additional information like notes, photos and video.

Leave Us Your Feedback

We hope you enjoy this new feature. Since this is in beta we are looking for your feedback. Please post below or to our Forums and let us know if you were either successful in printing or had issues.  Include the following:

  1. Device/iOS version

Thanks!

Works on iOS 6 iPhone with Lexmark S310 printer. I tested on both 2011 and 2012 cards.

QR Code didn't seem to scan with Bakodo however I was successful with Quick Scan, Scan and RedLaser.

I'm having trouble aligning the print to the 2012 cards. The Up/Down adjustment is great, but I am losing the Troop Number and half of the QR code on the first page, and the first letter of the MB name on the 2nd page. The print is too close to the edge for my printer. Is there any way to move those in, they are too close on the leading edge for my HP LJ 400 Pro. Its not a BIG deal, but I'd like to have all of the information show up. If you'd like, I can send you a scan of what is printing, it may make it a little more clear than my description.

I think you should have an option of printing the entire blue card form and the data too. Then it could be your choice to not have to buy pre-printed blue cards and line up the data on the pre-printed form. Hit "print all" and your done.

Does anyone know when the PC solution for printing blue cards will be available? It was listed as "coming soon" in 2013.

In using the print blue card option on Scout Book, why will it not print the completed requirements on the back of the blue card?
