Demonstrate, Show and Explain
Did you know if your son is in Boy Scouts that only a merit badge counselor can approve your son's work on merit badges? If a merit badge requirement says to demonstrate something, that is exactly what he must do to pass off the requirement. Instead of taking your word for it, many counselors must see your son pass off these kinds of requirements.
This is where Scoutbook comes in.
A picture is worth a thousand words but a video proves to the merit badge counselor your Scout demonstrated, showed and explained it.
Store it Securely on Scoutbook

Nothing discourages a Scout more than adult leaders losing his records, especially on merit badges. When partial merit badge requirements are lost, many Scouts are told to redo everything again. That is, unless they have their records stored securely in their Scoutbook account.
And if you have one of our connected accounts, all your records can be shared with Scout leaders and others. No more lost records. Your Scouts will be excited to see their progress as they advance toward Eagle.
How Does it Work?
Let's go through an example of how you can use Scoutbook to demonstrate or show a requirement then store it into your Scoutbook.
Water Sports Merit Badge #6B
"Show you can cross both wakes four times and return to the center of the wake each time without falling."
Let's say Kasey is out boating with his family and wants to pass off requirement 6. His brother grabs the video camera and records Kasey wake-boarding.
On the way home, Kasey logs into his Scoutbook and uploads the pictures and videos to requirement 6 for his merit badge counselor to approve.
Because Kasey has a connected Family Plan his Scout leaders and merit badge counselor are notified instantly so they can approve his work.
All your family members will enjoy seeing his progress in Scouting.
