Scout Book

Hi Julie, Thanks so much for your kind words and encouragement. Pack and Troop features are coming soon. We will be rolling out several phases as they are completed starting with a family plan. Each plan will be based on a yearly subscription model. Pricing will be announced at the time of launch for each phase.

Estimated Release Dates:
1. connectedFamily Plan - (week or two away!)
2. connectedDen / Patrol Plan (3 weeks away approx)
3. connectedPack and connectedTroop Plans (6 weeks away approx)

LOVE the family plan!! I personally believe the family annual plan price is fairly reasonable. However, these are hard times for LOTS of families in my area, and I may have difficulty "selling" it to our families for $10/year. Perhaps consider a $5 plan for families with only one son. And $10 for 2-5 youth. OR add a multiple year reduced price. OR a discount price for renewal subscriptions (like a loyalty bonus). You know, it would be terrific if a subcription to Scoutbook.com was included in price of BSA handbooks -- maybe in the future. :) Just some thoughts.

When will the pack option be available for beta testing? Our pack only has 15 boys so this would be a great option for us instead of individual den accouts. So far the individual accout is working great as my son is in my den. Also when will the awards tracking feature be available and will there be an option to include local (i.e. USS Yorktown camp, Baseball scout nights), state (i.e. South Carolina State parks scout carolina patch), federal (i.e. park service) awards that may only be offered regionally and not nationally? Could there be or will it be available as an option to include a picture of the award to upload as we can upload pictures of the boy's work on his achievements.

Several notes: It would be nice to track the "Historic trails award". I need to be able to enter a date as "unknown" when entering prior awards from several years ago so I can track the current dates that I do know for the rank advancements. And it would be nice to be able to enter some misc. notes for each boy somewhere in order to remember some things for a boy that aren't advancements.

Just created an account. trying to get records of everything I've done. Transferring to my 3rd troop since being in scouting. The 2nd troops transfer wasnt very smooth and took forever for leaders to get records of my advancements so wanting to get records because my leaders aren't very friendly and don't want me to leave so it would be good if i could just write everything down so i don't have to have the next troop figure everything out. my boy scouts book got ruined by rain and the pages where rankings shown are totally unreadable. Cant find how to get records of everything.
