You may be thinking this merit badge is all about console gaming or computer gaming. Guess again.

Scouts will learn the value of game design from many mediums and learn basic terms such as play sequence, single-player vs. multiplayer, turn-based, strategy vs. reflex, level design and much more.

The best part of the Game Design merit badge is the requirement for Scouts to design a game and record everything in a game design notebook.
