For Scoutbook units, 2019 is off to a great start.
Scoutbook as a free platform begins
NOW! January 1, 2019. Two major enhancements were made for the relaunched Scoutbook platform.
The database for Scoutbook is fully updated with an automatic Membership Update feature. The automatic membership update will greatly assist units in keeping their Scoutbook rosters accurate and current. It will also greatly assist units that have never used Scoutbook before to work with their rosters immediately without the need to manually load the unit roster.
In addition, Scoutbook has the new Single Sign On (SSO) feature to allow users to easily create accounts with the same properties as my.scouting accounts. You’ll use the same account credentials (username and password) for both platforms. This makes things much easier for users by streamlining the login process. For details, consult this
Frequently Asked Questions [PDF], which includes a step-by-step guide for use of SSO.
We also have a guide for signing on to Scoutbook here.
You may watch for other stores about the new Scoutbook at Bryan On Scouting and in the upcoming Scouting Wire.
Q: There was an error Loading Page at the Dashboard. A: You may want to try clearing cache as Scoutbook release just occurred.
Q: We have found some members duplicated with different IDs.
A: When importing unit roster information, Scoutbook made every attempt to keep unit rosters up to date with BSA registration system records. This was done while not disrupting unit activity on Scoutbook. We do realize there will be instances when we weren’t able to match people in our registration system against the same person in the roster because of a mismatch in Membership information. If this happened to your unit, please open a ticket with Scoutbook Support with the title “Duplicate Members” at Scoutbook.support@scouting.org. Please provide examples of specific names and IDs with your unit and Council information.
Thank you.
You may need to clear your Chrome cache.

Additionally, I cannot even access My Dashboard from my phone?? I get the “unable to load”...any suggestions? My phone is an iPhone too
If you are continuing to have issues either post them on the forums at: https://www.scoutbook.com/mobile/forums/
or send them to: scoutbook.support@scouting.org
It is easier to support you that way

The MB issue has been reported to the developers.
Send an e-mail to scoutbook.support@scouting.org with your name, BSA#, unit# and council along with a description of the problem. They will need to investigate.
If the BSA waited until recharters were processed we would have been back in the middle of Scouting. The week between Christmas and New Years was chosen because that is when the least Scouting activity occurs during the year. Just think about the outrage if Scoutbook was shut down for 4 days in March or April. The majority of the shutdown time was to get the database in sync with Akela. It was done as fast as the systems could process the data.
The developers are aware of the training issue.
There are many discussion on this on the forums. The quick answer is recharters are not processed until after the first of the year. The initial member update included all Scouts and leaders that are on your official roster. You can add an end date to these members and they will not come back.
In the meantime, as others have suggested, talk to your leaders and ask them not to click the approved checkbox. I’d hope your leaders are trustworthy. (I know mistakes happen occasionally.)

"You are not setup yet for the BSA Single-Sign-On (SSO) so your use of Scoutbook is limited. All users who have not setup SSO by Feb 1st, 2019 will no longer be able to use Scoutbook. Setup is easy. Just go to your Scoutbook My Account page and click on the link Setup SSO. You have 29 days remaining."
However the FAQ says if you do not have a my.Scouting account the old Scoutbook login will work. Will this remain true for youth unable to create a my.Scouting account after Feb. 1st? Or will they lose access to their Scoutbook accounts?
The banner message that is showing for youth under age 13 is incorrect. It will be removed within the next 24 hours.
Gail, You can put end dates on the Membership (youth) and Position (Adult) entries. Or wait for the re-charter to post. It should automatically remove anybody not in your unit. (There was no way to test this until re-charters hit Akela.) We may see next week or so.
The Blog is not a good place to ask questions. Ask them in the forum. Nobody gets a note when something is posted here.
I'll take additional steps to lobby BSA to reverse their decision. Key 3 know their leaders and parents better than anyone and deserve to decide the level of control that parents should be given.

We do not want the parents to have full rights to add things to the boys accounts we need them to go through the scoutmaster or through the den leaders. How do we change that?
Also I have moved boys from my package to the troop I cannot break the connection from the pack leaders how do I now do that?
Scout that are in other unit I can see the calender's, and I am not with that other units.
Please help
have posted to https://www.scoutbook.com/mobile/forums/bugs/ and have emailed for help with no reply.
1. As I try to add parents to the youth accounts, if the parent listed an email on their child’s application, Scoutbook is telling me the email is associated with a youth account and cannot be used.
2. Leadership training is no longer syncing for any adult leader.
3. I accidentally connected the one parent with an email fjs worked to the wrong youth, and even though she hasn’t logged in yet, there is no way to undo this.
4. Because recharter isn’t done yet, I have some youth that have transferred to us but we cannot manually disconnect them from their own leaders (parents should be able to disconnect their child from adults anyways, that is common sense saftey in case something questionable occurs).
5. Now my pack page won’t koad at all and is giving me an error.
I’m sure having tens of thousands of new people trying to figure this all out at the same time new tweets is causing delays, but some of these tickets were opened a week ago and I’m only seeing quick excuses rather than fixes relating to them.
If parents are not leaders in the unit they cannot approve or award anything.

It would be better if you ask your questions on the forums.
Your issues in order:
1. Scoutbook did not bring in parent emails from youth applications. There are some duplicate email addresses in the system, the team is working to clear them. Wait a couple of days and try again.
2. Leadership training codes changed (again.) We have been recommending that members use the training reports available at http://my.scouting.org Eventually we will be redirecting automatically from Scoutbook to those reports.
3. This is not a bug. SB no longer allows anyone except the parent to remove the parent check box. To fix the problem an e-mail needs to be sent to scoutbook.support@scouting.org
4. Parents can disconnect from old leaders. Since we do not know if the Scout is still associated with other units, Unit admins from other units cannot disconnect members in other units.
5. Try clearing your browser's cache
