New features coming soon

We are busy bringing online new features and will launch them when they are ready. Features coming soon are: Login area, Forums, Directory, and more. Our biggest features we plan on rolling out toward the end of 2012. You'll have to wait to see what we have in store...

1. Login

Our most anticipated feature will allow you to register and login:

2. Forums

Join other Scouts and Scouters from around the country and get ideas, ask questions, help a fellow Scouter, or just hang out. Once the login feature is live will open up our Forums.

Our Vision for the website.

Over the years we have listened to Scouts and Scouters just like you who have often wished for something more to help them be more productive and efficient. Something that could help them be a better leader.  More and more Scouters are using mobile devices like the new iPad and wished there was an app or tool to simplify advancement.

What if there was an advancement tool that not only kept track of Scouts progress but also one that could evaluate each pack and troop and suggest ways they can do even more. A tool built upon the new Journey to Excellence recognition program and could automatically score each unit.  A secure website that utilized the patrol method and provides new ways our youth Scouts can better fulfill their positions of leadership. A web destination not only for leaders but for parents and Scouts as well. A social network that would bring together packs, troops, teams and crews like never before.

Our goal is to do just that.

Over the next few years we hope we can build upon this new foundation and create the next generation online advancement software for our local units, districts and councils. With your help we know we can. Thanks for visiting us!

Hello Robin, there is no app in the app store for Scoutbook. However you can add it as a web app, Here is a link to FAQ that will show how to add it as an app.

I'd like to see forums by scout position. I am a COR (Chartered Organization Representative). I want to blog/forum with other CORs and especially those closest to my unit. I'm still looking for how we can find nearby units' contact info for the CORs? Thanks for all the hard work thus far. Should make the future easier. By the way any idea why National refuses to carry scout shirt buttons in the scout stores? It is tough having to find old shirts just to rob buttons.

Is there a time frame or a possibility of an app in the future? We've been getting a lot of questions from our pack. Thanks!

Well, it's nice that you are Making Apple wealthy, But 52% of us have Android Phones and Tablets. Are you planning on making it possible for us to access the system or do we need to downgrade to exploding phones?

It's interesting that so much effort has been put into creating mobile versions of Scoutbook when the regular browser-based Scoutbook still needs so much work (as of 09/05/2018). The mobile versions will be a nice addition (assuming they have all the functionality the the browser-Scoutbook still does not). First, though, I'd like to see the browser-Scoutbook become a full-fledged and functional site, rather than a mostly view-only collection of pages. Example: signing up for popcorn sales. I've scoured Scoutbook and apparently there is no way to do that simple thing via the site. I wonder if the mobile version will be fully functional before the browser version...
